21 Items To Declutter With No Regret

Do you struggle to part with items or find it easy saying goodbye? For me it’s easy, for my Partner Gav not so much. To compromise we keep a ‘Maybe’ box for things that I want to get rid of and Gav doesn’t. As soon as it’s full, we re-evaluate its contents and donate items that we both (Gav!) agree on.

So, I’m not going to sit here and tell you to get rid of all of your books, or your DVD’s, there is a reason that you hang on to them and I’m happy to wait until you’re ready. This list is full of items that really are no use to you. Let’s see what you think.

  1. Broken toys
  2. Baby clothes that are badly stained or holey
  3. Junk email
  4. Junk mail
  5. Expired spices
  6. Expired condiments
  7. Expired food
  8. Unused bathroom products
  9. Unused/duplicate kitchen utensils
  10. Nail polish that you don’t use
  11. Lidless containers
  12. Gift bags you won’t reuse
  13. Excess hangers (keep a few)
  14. Old tech accessories
  15. Expired medication (discard safely)
  16. Nappies that don’t fit (donate)
  17. Broken stationary
  18. Clothes with holes
  19. Plastic bags (if you have too many – you can recycle these at most Supermarkets)
  20. Hair accessories you don’t use
  21. Shoe boxes

That’s it, 21 things to say goodbye to with none of the guilt or regret that is sometimes associated with decluttering. I would love to know your thoughts and if you need assistance organising your pantry (whilst doing number 5, 6 & 7 on the list) click here for an easy how to.

Cheers,
